Oh Feck-not FSW please! He is mad as a hatter. We need a good communicator with a stable temperament.
It's amazing what the British press can convince folk.
Eh?
Why on earth would you think he's unstable?

He didn't get as far as he has in the game by being a mentalist.

A man who attempts to send out a team of 12 players for a second half could be termed a bit of a div.
Yeah, maybe. If it wasn't the champions league final and he wasn't frantically devising a plan to come back from 3-0 down against AC Milan.

Your counter-argument isn't the greatest - I called him a div and your defence is to make him sound like both a crap tactician and a headless chicken.

FWIW I don't think he's either.

mystery man is very cryptic but on the clues he's given i've narrowed it down to three "possibles"

Rhodri Giggs - accomplished manager, on holiday, needs to get away from manchester
Harry Redknapp - explains "bent meltdown" comment
Eddie Hitler - longshot but it just feels right.

Paranoid meltdown? Good grief.

Melodramatic piffle peddled by the meejah to boost interest in the Soap Opera known as the Premiership.

Is the term 'holidays' figurative and we're asking Ron Saunders to come home?

surely if whoevrr it is was on holiday and wanted the job thst much they would cut short their hols- i remember manny cuzzins flew to majorca and approached him on the beach to offer him the leeds job.

mysteryman is reliable which makes me think maybe it is moyes after all- we certainly have a way of appointing managers which keeps us all on tenderhooks- remember doug hiding behind the curtain with dr jo?

In fairness, your argument wasn't that great in the first place.

You make him sound like he doesn't know how many players should be on the pitch. If he hadn't gone on to win the match and became a European champion that same night, it might have been a point worth making. Just.

Ancelotti is the only manager I can realistically see as possible that would cause universal delight. Unless it is the young guy from Porto?

Had to check as I thought I was on RAWK for a minute there.

Do they not have websites to talk about Liverpool ?

As for Benitez I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole

To be fair, scouser or not, you have no way back from that one :-) well done sir.

No, the two are exclusive. Had it remained three-nil to Milan or if Liverpool had scored nineteen goals in the second half, Benitez still would have tried to put 12 players on a football pitch. Being able to count and being able to coach don't have to go hand-in-hand. I wasn't saying the mistake means he's a crap coach, merely that it was a divvy thing to do.
