Think he'd just need to wave at the Holte End every match and they'll worship him like Carew

I hated him at liverpool for two reasons:

1. he tried to buy fat arse on the cheap
2. he won the champions league for them. Living near liverpool and working there was painful, still is. If I had a pound for every time I have heard "Istanbul".........

but, he would be a good choice, he will put down roots at the club like he did with valencia and liverpool and look to build something. Plus the number of games he has been involved in at the top level can (hopefully) only serve us well.

Sold. FACT.

Crikey.

It's difficult to know what to think, seeing that.

One very good thing is that we're being credibly linked with some very good names, which should hopefully make the "OMG! OMG! We're going to end up with Curbishley!" faction think again.

Carew also happened to be one of the most prolific goalscorers in Villa history, I think some people on the Holte liked him for that almost as much as for the waving.

moyes, ancelotti or benitez. I could live with any of them. Either way those sort of candidates suggests Lerner is looking for the best and will back them with money.

But then there's this from the Telegraph:

So it appears that the press have as much an idea as we do, i.e. none.

Oh yes please!!

EDIT:  Ancelotti and Benitez both 6/4 with Hughes down to 4/1.  Interesting.... And just to add even more confusion there is an ITK over on VT that claims to know from a reliable source that it will be Moyes.  Hmmm...

Depends if the villa attack-dogs leave him alone.  No doubt if he arrives he won't be accepted by some until he denounces any fondness for Liverpool and sacrifices his first born on the pitch before the first home game.

Mr Pot, meet Mr Kettle and Mr Black!

eh? i've never cared who a Villa Manager has past alegiances to or whether he loves us as much as another club - it means nowt. Ancelotti can turn up in a chelsea tracksuit and sit in the away end when we play them for all i care.
