Quality manager, proven winner, is keen to come here, needs to do well to restore his reputation a little bit, speaks good English (and a smattering of gibberish).

I'd be delighted if we got him and would feel very positive about the future.

Please, PLEASE, do NOT touch the Anfield sign when we play Liverpool next season!!!

Happy with Rafa, a good appointment I reckon.  I wonder if he'll put a Bid in for Barry?   ;)

1 to 2 with Bill Hills. Notice odds are now shortening on Davy Boy Moyes as well - what's going on?

Come on Dave is something about to happen?

Cant say I'm a fan of Benitez but he's a big name, he has potential to get us where we need to go. He has pedigree.
I just hope he's got all or most of his crap transfers and bordeline lunacy out of his system.
With less pressure than an Internazionale or Liverpool (yet still a demand for eventual excellence) maybe he would relax a bit more and get back to what it was that first made him a top manager and build a legacy at Villa.

Not my first choice, perhaps in the second tier of managers I would hope for, yet perfectly acceptable.
If there's anything to this of course, and there's every chance.

Can't say the Benitez would be my choice, it just doesn't feel right, but if it came down to it I'd get behind him just as I have done with all our managers over the years.  I know he's not been mentioned before but for me Owen Coyle would be ideal for us, but I guess people seem to want a bigger name.

I'd be very happy with either Hughes or Benitez.

I do not buy into this. Bolton started well but were horrendous for the final 6 months of the season. If they hadn't signed Sturridge they may well have found themselves in a relegation dog fight.

Might say the same about us and Bent.

Sign Sturridge then. At all costs.

I just think that Coyle has managed to change the way Bolton play without all the problems and fallings out we have had, he was a success at Burnley and surely the fact that he signed Sturridge on loan is a positive thing not a negative.
