Whoever eventually gets it won't be wanted by the majority of the fans. They're onto a loser straightaway.

How do you know this? If he's a decent manaher or better he'll be well received. Esecially after the way this summer has started.

There are no reports/statement on the everton website to suggest that DM or Kenwright have said no to the prospect of DM joining villa.  Still a long shot IMO but I refuse to believe any radio reports or paper reports until the club (EFC), chairman or manager actually come out and say it.  Too much rubbish has been written over the past few weeks about villa which, lets face it, has been utter bull5h1t!

Difficult job for anyone now manager of Villa

A club at the crossroads,  with expectations to be in the top 4 and winning things,  a board who supposedly want that as well but without the wherewithall to achieve it.

A squad which is old in too many places,  without a goalkeeper,  about to lose it's best player and potentially two or three others,  in need of urgent attention and suplementing and without sufficient funds to achieve that.

Turned down one manager due to fan pressure,  been turned down by another at a lower ranking club and scratting around looking for a third or fourth or fifth or sixth choice

This whole debacle has been handled appallingly by the club.  This rubbish about the club giving the media the run around on purpose as some sort of tactic is just that,  rubbish.  A club lacking any direction or at least lacking the means to go in the direction that some want the club to go in.

We are in danger or writing the script for next season already and leaving the club in a struggle before a ball has been kicked.

It is a desperately difficult job to fill now

It is not a difficult job at all. We are searching for the right person and I really believe we will get our main target.

The bits in bold I agree with, but the rest is, I'm afraid, neddlessly depressing conjecture.

Blues say they will not accept his resignation until compensation is agreed over the remaining two-and-a-half years of his contract.

Difficult to fill  - you sound like the press!

Randy is meeting with Frank this week.  He will be selling the dream team of him with Sid as assistant manager.  They will buy back Sir Gary from Bolton to get the project rolling.   Franks odds are falling nicely today.

Astonishing.

This could have been written by any ignorant, one-eyed, prejudiced Fleet Street hack on any one of the last 3 or 4 days. The fact that it's been written by a Villa fan (alledgedly) is quite incredible. It reads like a synopsis of all the vacuous bullshit I've seen in the media since this whole thing started.

Shameful.

MM - Is the AVFCMysteryMan on Twitter you ?

Was confirmed they are not the same person.

At least a dozen bleedin' times.

OK ta, so all his Moyes rumours could just be some mischievous nose on the wind up. At least @Villa_Insider had past history of getting it correct.

I'll tell you what else really chaps my ass and that is that it seems criticsm of the club / owner is treated as if you are the devil incarnate.  Not in terms of from other fans that really doesn't bother me as everyone is entitled to an opinion and I realise people may be unwilling to accept / believe that Randy Lerner is capable of being a mere mortal.

What I mean is in terms of General Krulak / his son etc.

You try asking a critical question / posting a comment that just even slightly questionning the club and see what response you get,  if you even get one. Look at the reaction from his son the other night ,  it's as if you are only allowed to believe that everything is fantastic and that there is this grand plan in place where one day we will rule the world and he has an ace up his sleeve.

Sorry I do not buy it.  I am critical of the board and have been for about two and a half years now ,  I wont apologise for that

Your best friend is the one who will tell you you look a right idiot in a shirt you may think is brilliant. He is not the person that tells you you look fantastic and let you go out looking an eejit.

I dont understand why there is so much negativity towards the club, RL and PF!  Yes, they are keeping quiet but they issued a statement saying that once they have something to report/announce, then they will do.  They will appoint the right man for the job for sure.  Things like this can take time as they want to ensure they appoint the right person.  If you are concerned about what the media report on the tv or radio, a simple solution is to either turn the tv/radio off or simply change the channel.  Come the end of the month, we will have the man in charge ready to make signings and start pre season training.  For now, remain positive and dont let what you hear get to you.
From my understanding, Villa are doing everything by the book - writing to clubs to seek permission to speak to their managers and I guess they are waiting for replies, maybe thats because the clubs we have written to are waiting to for permission to speak to their potential candidates?  who knows hey!

Villa fan for 40 odd years chap.

Like I have said in another post,  I understand that not all will be willing to accept this viewpoint or even believe that this is an opinion which may be valid and which others are entitled to.

I even completely understand why that is so unpallatable to you and others and why thinking that there is even a grain of truth in my post is an anathema to you.  But just look at what I have posted and see if you can say why each of the things individually may be wrong?
