Talk Sport like SSN have 24 hours of air time to fill so they just make it up as they go along.

Bradley is a really uninspiring candidate again, but as others have mentioned, after the Mcliesh rumours Lerner could get away with appointing nearly anyone. If Mcliesh did genuinely resign with no contact from us, then Randy owes him a bottle of plonk at least

according to talkshit sorry mean talksport randy learner is talking with bob bradley again, what do you all think ?

That he isn't?

Funny, what's the point in talking to Bradley? Since that very same radio station seem to think we're about to announce McLeish as the new manager!!

Again it shows no one has a clue!!

McClaren confirmed as Forest boss. BBC.

Oh Dear.

Can't wait for him to put on a fake Nottingham accent in a press conference me duck

At his first press conference he'll declare a lifetime's passion for archery, his support of tax redistribution legislation, and the fact that his wife is in the process of changing her name to Marian

Another load of media garbage!  Villa are upsetting the media by not revealing anything so they are just making stuff up now.  There is no way RL would be speaking to BB considering the previous criteria for the vacant manager role was PL experience so why would they change their views now?

I can't see Moyes coming at all

Don't crush our hopes!

Just don't see the love in for Moyes.  How many trophies has he won at Everton?  Come on Randy go for somebody with pedigree or potential.

'According to reports, the vacant Aston Villa job does not interest Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.

The Daily Star claims Coyle is less than enamoured at being a fall-back option for Villa who are searching for a new manager after the resignation of Gerard Houllier.

It is understood that both Coyle and Everton boss are on the list of targets drawn up by Villa owner Randy Lerner.

It is believed that Moyes is also not interested as he considers Villa to be a selling club.

Villa reckoned they had landed their man when they approached Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez last week.

However, the Spaniard chose to stay and finish the job he had started at the DW Stadium.

Worrying how everybody seems to be seeing us now isn't it.

They might be but 90% of neutrals I discuss footy with see Villa exactly the same way!!! Surely it can't be long before the rest of the press, managers and players don't feel the same way, that's if they don't already?? I admire your belief in everything Villa but I think you may be in the minority.

Its true, I have a lot of friends and work colleagues who see villa in a negative way.  A lot, I guess, is down to the media and their portrayal of us.  Without speaking to the RL or PF, cant see how Owen Coyle or David Moyes can think or say that.  they have been in the game along time and know how things work.  I personally do not think either of them have commented about the vacant post.  its all chinese whispers and media bull5h1t!
Over past few season (except for the latter), we have finished above Everton and Bolton so how can villa not be an appealing job to take?  RL has shown that he will back his managers with money so why would he suddenly change?

These are the same people who were telling us we had no money for players right up until the day Bent signed.

I maybe wrong, but wasn't the whole "looking for a manager with premiership experience" criteria it self made up by the press and we just went along with it because we liked the idea?

I agree with you it just pisses me off that we seem to hold us in such low regard? The fact that we ended up with GH last time is surely an indication of this? Even when Doug was in charge the Villa job was held in high regard, we were always seen as the 'Sleeping giant'.

I'm just not convinced that Moyes is our man. I've always believed it takes a few years to develop a good football team, into a successful one. It is no coincidence that SAF and Wenger are the longest serving PL managers and the most successful, who's next? I just think he should have achieved more, in his time at Everton.
An ambitious manager like Mark Hughes would suit us well. He is young enough and driven, i also think he would have a point to prove. He worked under SAF, so would bring a lot of tried and tested methods, he will bring stability, he is an experienced PL manager, he can motivate teams. Just my opinion but Moyes just doesn't seem to match us as well as Hughes would.

Maybe its because every season recently, we seem to sell our best player?  I think we need to start digging our heels in a bit more and refuse to sell at all costs?  Just a thought.....
