Much more like it.

Friedel - 8. Great stuff.
Walker - 8. Sign him up.
Dunne - 8. More like early last season Dunne.
Collins - 7. Looked vulnerable at times, awareness issues. But doesnt want for courage.
Young - 7. Composed.
Delph - 7. Don't understand some of the comments. He was either really good or sloppy but you get that with young players still finding their way.
Overall I thought he did really well and he's going to be a top player for us. That beautiful ball he played for Young doen the left was a sign of things to come. And something we havent had since Barry left.
Reo Coker - 8. Dogged and powerful.
Petrov - 7. Tidy.
Young - 7. Quiet game by his standards apart for the great ball for our second goal. Worked hard though.
Downing - 6. Like Ashley but without the assist.
Bent - 9. He shoots, he scores. If only, MON. If only.

I though Bradley did O.K when he came on.
I was impressed with McAllister too. Credit where it's due and I'm not his greatest fan although I respect him, but he got it right today and was a auhoritative, animated and motivated presence. I was pleasantly suprised.

Great day out and a battling performance with some snippets of genuine quality.  The passes from Walker and Young which led to the goals were pure class, and Bent's finishing was lethal.

The loudest chant from Arsenal was "6% you're having a laugh", and I have to admit they had a point. Plenty of empty seats in the upper tiers.

Neither Ash or Downing can cross from the byline on their weaker foot.

Dunne put plenty of heart and effort into the game, but he is just not comfortable with an attacking full back in a back four.

Delph will be class.

What a fucking season.

Amazing result, no fear of relegation now.
Nothing more to be said, until after Liverpool

No doubt in my mind, the player to replace Ashley Young is Charles N'Zogbia. We should do the deals as soon as the season ends.

Yes he will be a good shout. Just watched Wigan West Ham highlights and a reminder again why Robert Green is NOT  for us.

Lets hope we dont lose then, or we might receive the pleasure of one of your more in depth posts.

Had the fortune of being in hospitality today and had great difficulty in hiding my claret & blue allegiances. My observations;
- the one game in the season I don't pay for is probably the most memorable of the season. West Ham & Man City at home plus this one I reckon.
- Darren Bent - that's what big money buys you. Two top finishes
- Enjoyed watching Delph. He made mistakes but there's a top player in there
- Enjoyed watching NRC as much; knitted it all together and guided Delph through
- Brilliant from Dunne & Collins as we know they can
- Great to sit in the home end and listen to some brilliant away support

Great result yet infinitely frustrating when you ask yourself - why not like that every week?

Because we can't always have that ref. <wink>

But the first 20 odd minutes and towards the end of the second half shows what we can do attacking wise. Now if we can keep that level of attacking play up for more then 30 mins a match and have the defence playing as well past 80 mins we might be onto something.

Regarding this supposed stonewall penalty Dunne was supposed to have given away.

From what I could see, Dunne got his leg in the way of the ball, then Ramsay kicked it. As I see it, this is a foul to Aston Villa and not a penalty. Or is the Arsenal player entitled to kick the ball unchallenged?

Thanks for clarifying what that chant was, I thought it was the Villa fans singing it and couldn't work it out

Lot of empty seats and also very noticeable at Chelsea too today...

Although I don't think it was a stonewaller and can definitely see why the ref didn't give it as it looked like he got the ball first,  Dunne did catch Ramseys leg rather then Ramsey kicking him.
