Whichever tune we come out to, it will mean lots to some people, and nothing to lots of other people.

For example, I've no idea about anything regarding WWE, I don't like metal so ACDC dont interest me, and the bells thing we do now is just terrible. If it were down to me, I'd go for Theme From an Unmade Silent Movie, but then again, that will mean absolutely nothing to an increasing number of Villa fans these days.

I think probably the answer is just some random bland shit nobody will really get annoyed about. If we have to spend so long trying to come up with something meaningful to run out to, it's a sign that there's no real, obvious, meaningful answer.

Theme from an Unmade Silent Movie for me to. It's quite rousing and nostalgic.

The bells have to go though.

Watched the BBC prog on Wootton Bassett earlier - where people of the town line the streets to show their respect every time the body of a soldier returns home to RAF Lyneham. As the hearse drove slowly through the town the church bell tolled eerily, and it sounded exactly like Villa Park on Saturday.
So right for such a sombre occasion as at Wootton Bassett... but oh so very wrong for setting the mood for a football match.

Theme from an Unmade Silent Movie should never have been removed. If we'd have kept it in permanently since the early 80's, it would have become as iconic as Z-Cars or The Liquidator. It's a rousing and stirring little ditty that evokes many memories.

The bells should not be played at the Liverpool game. It's so embarrassing.

The club listened to the fans, but the fans got it wrong.

I guess it's up to the same fans to admit this to the club and ( as Paulie says) move on.

Next ...... :)

No, the club listened to the fans and then made an absolute pig's ear of the execution of the initiative.

I'd like something intimidating so that the opposition come out thinking they're up against warriors in an arena that wants their blood.
But first, we need some Gladiators.

Exactly, rather than 11 trembling Charles Hawtreys, knees knocking, ready to roll over and die.

This.

Those bells are pathetic. Quite amusing that the "Bells Are Ringing" initiative has failed so miserably. The moron sat behind me tries to sing it though.

If we're staying on the funeral theme as they come out, let's play this.
