The "funeral" bell
« on: May 09, 2011, 12:36:04 PM »
Appologies if there is another thread on this......but

What on earth made someone - and who was that person - choose the tolling bell as the best from of music for the team to enter the pitch?

We've had some bad ones but surely this takes the biscuit?

I realise its very apt for the season we have just witnessed but it is hardly going to inspire our players and strike fear into the opposition. I don't know whether to laugh or hang my head in embarassment!

It's totally idiotic.

Most people around me just laugh about it.

Another gaffe in a gaffe riddled season.

There's a few threads on this. I have a feeling our new entrance tune will be quietly forgotten before the start of next season.

please please please please please play ACDC's Hells Bells for the Liverpool game.  I would like a large inflatable devil to also be lowered into the stadium, ideally landing on Dalglish.

I hate it.Personally I preferred that classical piece of music we used to play, much more intimidating

There was something sadly ironic about two poor teams walking out those clanging chimes on Saturday - the final death knell on a disasterous season.

Visiting fans must scratch their heads when they're not pissing themselves laughing.

Don't worry, for the last match they've brought in Dave Chance to sing You'll Never Walk Alone

I thought the bell was the start of the song - the bells are ringing , but it seems all that seems all is being playing is the tolling bell - yes truely bizzare and embarassing !
