0% Villa - QPR points deduction verdict delayed.

So the FA have delayed a decision on whether QPR will lose points until after the last games of the season, anyone else think that this is purely so they know exactly how many points to deduct so QPR still get promoted and the play-offs aren't all buggered up and no one will sue?

If somebody like Cardiff misses out due to a smaller deduction could they sue a la Sheffield United and West Ham?

If QPR are found guilty of these charges then I believe they should be dealt with extremely harshly (Mostly because I had a bet with a workmate at the start of the year that Cardiff would finish above them)

They'll get off rather lightly and still be promoted.

Wankers to a man at the FA.

If the points deduction doesn't impact their their promotion it woild effectively be no punishment for breaking the rules. It just doesn't make sense. What is wrong with the rule being that they lose any points in which that player took part?

They're being presented with the trophy after their last match and will be parading it around the ground.

The FA have created this problem for themselves by taking more than 2 months to consider the case from the time QPR were first charged. Whichever way it goes, it will get messy for any one or more of the clubs at the top of the Championship bar Norwich.

I have a strange feeling QPR will manage to finish in the 2nd automatic promotion spot.  And every unsuccesful club in the play offs will sue the feck out of them.

I expect the FA are waiting for the cheque to clear...

They won't becuase I do not think there is a set tariff of points-deduction.
The FA will wriggle out of it by doing a small points-deduction and a large fine. Everyone's honour remains intact .... ho, hum. The system stinks.

The FA will bottle it as usual. If they deduct sufficient points to deprive QPR of the Championship trophy, or worse still to put them into the play-offs, QPR will appeal, probably using the West Ham case as a precedent, and it will drag on for weeks, screwing up all the play-offs.  Having left things so late to deal with it the FA have yet again shot themselves in the foot. My guess is they'll fine them and deduct points to coincidentally leave them on the same number of points as Norwich but still going up as Champions on goal difference.

My guess too. Didn't they finish six points ahead of Norwich? So it'll be six points deducted, or five, and no actual harm done.

5 points ahead with one game to go - hence the delay in announcing it
