You can't expect to sign players like Bent and keep the prices the same, lookin at prices around the county ours are competitive

A cynic would say we only spent the money we received when we sold Milner a few months earlier.

The profit on Milner wasn't 18 million though.Remember we bought him for 12 million originally

An economic would say that the cost of everything is on the increase and if we need to maintain our position (not improve on it) then this is what we need to do.

While the results on the pitch are not as good as we would hope for the facilities are much better than a few years ago.  Keeping them that way costs.

I'm in K7 and it's dropped to £405 from £475 due to it being recategorised as 'wings' last season.  I can't moan at that!

Breathing a huge sigh of relief at the 10 month direct debit option

I think what is being offered is not at all bad really - all things considered.

Villa are one of the cheapest Premier league season tickets around - even with the price increase aren't we?

Slight increase from £540 for me and Jnr to £560 so about £1 per match. Excellent.

Can somebody post the payment options please, can't view them at work.
A 4 month direct debit option with No interest.
OR
A 10 month direct debit option WITH interest (15.9%).

Representative example: Cash price of ticket £480.00 = total amount of credit £480.00. Repayable by 10 monthly instalments of
£51.34. Rate of interest is 1.2408% per month (fixed). Total amount repayable £513.40. Representative APR 15.9%.

Or 4 monthly instalments at £120 0% interest.

£51.34 a month for 10 months will be a lot more palatable for some people than £480 in one hit. They've done a good job if the finance is easily accessible.

I wouldn't get the 15.9% rate though because I never pay my bills on time, get in disputes with companies about all sorts of things and have a dreadful credit history. F*** 'em I say.

I share your pain.

I'm amazed that so many of you seem to have accepted the increases so readily. Personally I'm very unhappy that the prices have gone up again and I find the so-called "benefits" the club are offering as an insult.

AVTV - wow, now we can watch the players actually talking the bullshit we've so far only been able to read. "We've turned the corner", "let's turn Villa Park into a fortress", "sorry we were shite on Saturday and it cost you £40 to watch it, but we're all pulling together now so why not pay £40 again and we'll put an effort in next time".

And, as if propaganda TV wasn't enough, we're even getting a welcome DVD. Gee thanks, I'll invite the neighbours round one night and get some beers in.... or probably like most people I'll dump it straight in the bin.

A car sticker, pin badge and something to stick to my seat - shove the lot of them where the sun don't shine Randy, and knock the £3 they cost off the price of my season ticket please.

Oh and a book of vouchers, great. The only vouchers I want are ones giving me a discount off the following season's season ticket every time a game is moved for live TV.

As others have said on this thread the only real attraction to going nowadays is to meet up with friends and for the social side of it, and it's getting harder and harder to justify the ever-increasing cost of a day spent down the Villa. I would never be driven away from the Villa by poor results or even relegation - but I will be driven away by unfair pricing.

As always, the loyalty of football supporters to their club is being exploited, and despite the current crippling economic climate we are being expected to dig deeper into our pockets to fund greed.

I would not dream to question a fellow fans actions.
But, if everything is so shit, I presume you are not renewing, despite the relatively small increase ?

However, DK, we're still cheaper than most but expected to compete with clubs who bring in far more through ticket sales.
