City boss Roberto Mancini wants to break the bank to land Tottenham star Gareth Bale in a deal worth £30m, plus the club's England midfielder James Milner.

He might be available after all...

I read it too this morning. I know it's pathetic and all dreamy to think but it would be great to get him back. I'm sure spuds would prefer the money too if we were to buy milner back from city.

Buy Milner and keep Young, Gabby, Bent and Dowling, that's the way forward.    ==========>>>

Milner is exactly what we need in our midfield at the moment.

He is what we need, but fuck him. He wanted to go there, let him stay there & rot.

We'd never match the wages he'll be on there.  I can see him ending up at Liverpool for some reason. They'll probably try and pay him on the wing like City.

Jimmy chose to leave for money.

Why would he come back here? For his career?

From what i've read about him, he's not your typical football wanker.
Trains hard, willing to learn, doesn't drink alcohol and not in the slightest bit interested in late night clubbing.

I'd put money on us having a chance if he knew he could play every game in central midfield.

On the odd occasion he plays for Man City now, it's always on the wing and I don't think Mancini is that bothered about him.

Just to throw in a snippet. Apparently recently sold his house near Sutton.

I really don't think he's as good as people here make out. Our level, sure, but I think he was kidding himself if he ever thought he'd get a regular place in Man City's team. Based on this season I'd consider taking Gardner back before Milner.

Fuck him.

He's a good player, we wanted him to stay, he didn't. He wouldn't want to return anyway, but even if he did, no way should we have him back just because it didn't work out for him at Man City, our pride alone should preclude that.
