Best kit we've had for a while - the black socks really work and are very traditional.

Thumbs up.

Look at the size difference between Delfouneso & Gabby on the photo of the players stood in a line.....

...what next?

Gabby looks like a right fat bastard.

You are joking, right?
Or are you Karen Carpenter?

Apart from the checks and the socks, isn't it just the 2009-2010 kit?

Yeah, apart from it being different, it's the same.

Yeah, apart from it being different, it's the same.

And what have the Romans ever done for us?

The only thing I can accept of the new kit are the black socks, that are a return to the good old tradition of the pioneers and to the 1957-58 season, when we won our last FA Cup.

Apart from this, the new kit is absolutely awful, for all the details: the chequered pattern, the double shade of claret, the blue sleeves, the nature of the sponsor, the chinese fonts, etc.
I can't forgive the manufacturers do rubbish like that when they would have models to inspire like these, for instance (and we were in the old Division Three):

Great shirt

I think that we should have he a retro kit last year for 30 years since we won the league, but hey with Nike you just have to accept any load of shit they give you.

Archie, your Italian too, Villa should be taking ideas from you !

Must say, I like both kits, but at £50 a pop, they are ridiculously priced - they are terrible quality with a lot of Nike spin about breathable etc ... when in fact, they're Primani quality !!

Of the two new kits, does anyone have the original pictures of Gabby wearing them?

Like the original photos from the matches last season?

Went to Villa park to look at getting a top, plumped for the away top in the end .But found it surprising there are no changing room's in the shop so had to strip half naked to try the bloody top on , so although giving Villa £45 i probably derprived them of a lot more as the shop half emptied as i stripped of my top !!!

Saw them both up close for the first time today in a sports shop and have to say they look and feel very cheap and tatty.

Going right off Nike, I think we can do better.

I agree. I know Nike are going to say the material is good for the players etc etc, but the 2009/2010 kit was excellent in design and the fabric. The last two years I'd agree it does feel cheap. If we don't renew with Nike next season I won't be too upset.

This new recycled plastic bottle material is very limp and very clingy almost like its full of static. The material on the last England shirt, the one like a white polo shirt was very nice, its the 'coolest '( ie evaporates sweat from your body-cool) football shirt I own. I hope we stay with Nike but convert to Umbro which they own for next year.
