Puma or, preferably, Umbro next year, please. The "tailored" shirts Umbro are knocking out at the moment could provide us with a shirt worth buying.

Spotted the new kits in Sports Direct in the Bullring on Saturday. New home shirt felt very thin. They'd also pinned the security tag through the AVFC badge which would no doubt damage the shirt! Not keen on the away having seen it in the flesh - the checks look cr*p IMHO. Much better on the home shirt, which I might buy.

Does anyone know if the club shop do the "official" felt-style Prem. lettering? I bought my last shirt from Villa Direct and it had the rubbery letters which aren't as good.

Saw them in the villa shop in birmingham yesterday and I thought they were awful especially the away blocked check one

I got my home Makoun 17 shirt today and it's actually really nice.

I have to say that given the sweat soaked shirts today - the little holes on the side didn't work did they.

Why does the Claret for the past couple of years look Red? It looked much better when darkened by sweat. I am sure it was darker in the old days. Except for the pink one of course. The club simply has to chose the Claret on a colour palette and stick to it. Whatever the medium.

I thought the kit looked bloody ace today. Throw in the black socks. It's a winner for me.

Toronto - no complaints, it does work for me too. I just wish we would decide on a colour and stick to it everywhere. I am an old buggar and need to moan :)

I think it's the same colour as last year. I do agree it looks a better colour when it's sweated to the full Stilyan. If you want to see a disaster go back and check out that old NTL sponsored top. Now that was almost fuscia or something.

The lime green didn't help either.  It was as bad as the Henson effort.

I like the fact that you can buy it without the sponsors logo on the front

There were more without the Sponsor on today in JJB, which suggests that people are buying the tops with the sponsors on.
I can fit nicely in to a small : )
