We played a few away games early 90's with black shorts and black socks along with the regular home shirt, that looked quality IIRC. Far better than some of the more recent mix and match away efforts, like that weird looking all claret number.I'd prefer blue socks on the home kit, but in the grand scheme of things it's not worth demanding the removal of the board over.
