Do we really need any more Bindippers connections at the Villa?

Not for me I'm afraid.  If for no other reason than I couldn't bear yet another Anfield homecoming wankfest next season.

Petty though it is, that is my main objection, too.

However bad it was with Houllier, it would be ten times as bad with Benitez.

Did not him one bit at Liverpool. Would not want him at our club.

I think we're all getting a but fussy.  Benitez would be a huge improvement on Houllier.

I'm not sure we can be picky enough to turn down a league winning and Champions League winning manager.

he bought a lot of dross at the Dippers, punctuated by the odd gem ie. Torres, could we afford him as in he likes to throw the lolly around ?

Is he?

Or could we be heading for the exact same problem in a manager who whilst having an excellent record has lost the knack and is still in love with his ex? That and his dubious sanity is what makes me all a bit meh on Benitez.

His disrespect of our Club during the Barry saga rules him out for me, its not petty its a fact.

I think he's a similar level of manager to Houllier, he's just a much less nice person. I'd far rather Jol, even though he's done less on paper.

Jol wouldn't take any shit or insubordination from the players
The sort of character we need
