I've had a few Lacoste ones, and they've lasted me years, and kept their shape, wish i could say the same.

Quite like Lyle and Scott, mainly due to the fact that i like the Two Ronnies!

As a kid I used to hate the Ronnie Corbett monologue. Only when I "matured" did I realise the true quality there. I always think of him when I see Lyle and Scott jumpers.

And like you I have one Lacoste which is till in good nick after 10 years.

I'd watch the Two Ronnies over Morecombe and Wise any day of the week, there's probably already a thread on this topic!

Indeed. I've still got three that my last-but-one bird bought me (so that's about 12 years ago), and they're almost as good as new. Mind you, the current Mrs P hates her, so I don't wear them very often.

Come to this thread late. I own a few Fred Perry garments but can understand why Coopers Thingy doesn't like them, I suspect they don't go too well with his Bono mullet and cowboy boots.

I saw a few West Ham fans with Claret and Blue Adidas gazelle on sat,did look nice, though i don't wanna get any fashion tips from Cockneys,
I have a pair of them too, gotta keep the claret and blue going !

Same here. They are the classiest trainers ever...bar none.

i've got a pair too. Adidas Gazelle are class, claret and blue Gazelle pure class. Most comfortable trainers ever, and one of the few pairs of trainers IMO that look good with shorts or jeans.
I've been looking for a white Fred Perry with the claret and blue piping, i saw one a few years ago in London and dithered over buying it, now i can't find one anywhere, anyone any ideas?
There a bit hard to clean though! How do you clean suede??

This what your looking for?  ;)

To keep the Gazelles clean you need to give 'em a good soaking them with a good water repellant spray, they will then resist most stains. Then just keep them clean, and re-spray every now and then. I've always found the sun fades the colour out of them though.

Cheers for the link to the Fred Perry unfortunately they are all out of stock.

Two Ronnies were class - apart from the awful song and dance routines. Were you left or right side of the Holte? Tiswas or Swap Shop? I think Two Ronnies v Morecombe & Wise could be another way to segment Villa fans of a certain vintage...

To fit the Celtic/Rangers chant though, it would have to be "BARKER!"/"CORBETT!" or "MORCAMBE"!/"WISE!"

Try eBay for the white fred perry with the claret and blue pipings. I bought a couple at £18 each from this Japenesse seller on there before christmas, worth a go.

They might glow slightly in the dark now though.
