I look forward to a reply detailing the cultural significance of the Hugo Boss polo shirt to the British working class.

Herr Boss gave them uniforms to shoot at?

I saw a few West Ham fans with Claret and Blue Adidas gazelle on sat,did look nice, though i don't wanna get any fashion tips from Cockneys,
I have a pair of them too, gotta keep the claret and blue going !

Same here. They are the classiest trainers ever...bar none.

i've got a pair too. Adidas Gazelle are class, claret and blue Gazelle pure class. Most comfortable trainers ever, and one of the few pairs of trainers IMO that look good with shorts or jeans.
I've been looking for a white Fred Perry with the claret and blue piping, i saw one a few years ago in London and dithered over buying it, now i can't find one anywhere, anyone any ideas?

Only on H&V can a thread about a T shirt turn into a argument.

Only kiddin I prefer Fred Perry, But has anyone found this Hugo Boss one yet?

I saw the white one in Hereford but it was £70 & I didn't have the money. I aint seen one since, I don't think you can get it from Fred Perry because it's an old design

I could buy five or six T-shirts with obscure band names on them for the money quoted for T-shirts on this thread. Each to his own, I suppose...

Cool! If it has a logo of Michael Carrick on it, I'm in!

Bit of useless information, but i remember hearing that when Fred Perry was designing his shirt, his people just took the measurement and the cut off a Lacoste shirt. Also Perry had to be talked out of using a pipe as the shirts logo!

Good to see people using Jump the gun, bought a good few things from there over the years, really good shop, run by sound fellas, worth a butchers if anyones in the area.

I practically live in polo shirts outside winter and have tried a fair number of brands over the years. In terms of quality, Lacoste is hands down the best I have ever owned but Fred Perry definitely won the "Villa look" with their classic claret with sky blue and white piping. The last one I bought was £15 though, admittedly in the days before my beer belly - are they really £60 now? If so, send me a few piccies and I can get them made for a quid apiece over here and flog them to you unsuspecting retro boys in the Woodhall-Mart emporium for 10 of your British Kate Middleton notes.

I've had a few Lacoste ones, and they've lasted me years, and kept their shape, wish i could say the same.

Quite like Lyle and Scott, mainly due to the fact that i like the Two Ronnies!

As a kid I used to hate the Ronnie Corbett monologue. Only when I "matured" did I realise the true quality there. I always think of him when I see Lyle and Scott jumpers.

And like you I have one Lacoste which is till in good nick after 10 years.

Try their flagship store in Covent Garden, there's loads more choice there than the shops in Brum etc. I was there in January and bought a Navy Polo with Claret & Blue piping, can't remember if there was a white one though.
