Perhaps he has, but the house he owns in B'ham is up for sale.

The Hagley/Stourbridge border is not Birmingham!

I'll miss the little bugger. I think he'll do well at Liverpool where he's blatantly gonna go.

A rumour I heard yesturday, gabby broke down in his car and told the recovery man he is defiantly staying, but Ash is waiting for Arsenel or Spurs.

I can't believe that myself, why go spurs unless they sell one of there top players, which then defeats the object of goin there.

When I read that I thought Gabby had been found crying in his car!

Could only see Spurs being interested in Ash if they lose Bale - if they do sell Bale (which would only be for silly money imho) maybe we could do a deal with Spurs involving cash + Walker for Ash

Yeah so did I :)

I really can't believe that A) Gabby broke down in a Ferrari or B) That he's going to tell a recovery man that AY is waiting for Arsenal or Spurs. He'll never sign for Arsenal. Spurs? Maybe but if bale stays he'll be warming the bench like Milner is

I'd hold no grudges if he left this summer or next but I'd prefer he went earlier, as I'm sure most others would be. I'd be amazed if we got anywhere near the amounts that have been banded around in this thread so far, though.  I'd say Liverpool for 12M would be a realistic bet but a swap deal with Spurs involving cash plus Walker would be my ideal choice.

£12 million ???

Bet Spurs said the same when they sold Carrick. Or Keane. Or Berbatov.

The difference is that Spurs spent significantly more on new players than they received from selling players in each of those seasons.

Is that a roundabout implication that we're a selling club?

The last time we had an open transfer window, we quite desperately needed a striker who could be relied on to deliver goals. Our owner then went out and bought the most expensive player in our history, a proven goalscorer, for 18 million, rising to 24 million pounds.

Still, keep on with the sniping if it makes you happy.

I'm not fucking sniping. I'm pointing out that even when Spurs were bringing in large transfer from sales, they were still spending all of that and a great deal more on new players. I'm delighted that we chose to spend the money from Milner on Bent.

Whilst I cant help but feel I'm about to want to slit my throat, what is the net spending figures for Spurs and Villa since Randy came in?
