It was also meet up pub for some of Villa's naughty boys in the 80s.

I remember those days. We used to get the 46 bus to Perry Barr and stop off in there on the way to Villa Park. Popular with rascals until the early 80s although some of the old timers would still drink in there for a few years. Luckily we missed the day Chelsea stormed in and and started throwing glasses around 1978-9.

Somebody organised a coach form there for Rotterdam and they had black and white Crown & Cushion t shorts printed.

The last time I went in there was probably 7-8 years ago and it was very quiet for a match day, maybe 25-30 people in there. It was clear it was on its last legs.

Sorry if dredging this up pisses anyone off. Just checking in on everyone not lucky enough to be in Istanbul for the final what's the plan? I'm going to be in London that week unfortunately/fortunately (delete as appropriate) and was thinking Feed The Yak which despite the name looks like a Villa bar (not really a pub in the old school sense).

BTW I think there’s tube strike next week so travelling across London might be a ball ache.

Yeah I did wonder about that. I saw about the tube strikes, potential to be a total nightmare but currently that evening there is nothing planned apparently.

I am just under 2hours from VP, and was planning on watching with my lad there, but as no plans for screens inside the ground and the Warehouse sold out, then will stay at home as don’t want to be in a pub with local ‘neutrals’.

We really wanted to go to Istanbul but my lad cannot make it, we have watched at VP all home games together and want to watch the final with him.

My son and I will be gong to watch the game in a pub in Harrogate: if anyone in the area is thinking the same - probably The Den but can confirm by PM.
