I don't get all the hype for Rodwell? What's so special about him. I haven't seen much of him, but anytime I have, he's not really done anything to warrant the hype or price tag. Granted he's young, but for arguments sake, Wilshere looks the mutts nutts. That one I get. Rodwell? Now. Is he a really quality attacking midfielder, or a quality defensive midfielder? Or is he a midfield dynamo, box-to-box? I don't think in any regard he excels. He might prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

A bit like a young Gareth Barry he's yet to find his best position but he hasn't looked out of place anywhere he's played.

Nah, a poor man's Ciaran Clark.

Isn't Ciaran Clark a poor man's Ciaran Clark?

Hoping for....

                  Friedel

Walker   Cuellar   Dunne    Young

  Makoun     Delph      Reo-Coker

  Young       Bent      Downing

Subs: Marshall, Collins, Bradley, Petrov, Albrighton, Gabby, Heskey

I'd say that would be our strongest side, but when have we ever really been able to predict what team GH will put out?

After playing like he has been for england this week on the wing, I'm really not sure why he wouldn't want to play there.

I'm sitting here with 200 aspirin and a bottle of Vodka. Before I do anything silly, can somebody please tell me who's injured for Everton? Then I'll decide if I think it will make any fucking difference.
Saha, Arteta and him with the funny hair, Fellatio?, are out, I believe.

Fellatio out? That's a blow for them.

If he ends up playing i'd bet everything i own on Cahill scoring.  We could put 11 men on the line for 90 minutes in a acrobat formation to fill up the goal and he'd still score.

I dont think the idea that Everton will score uncertain, its about how many we score, we will need to score at least 2 get anything, i would love a 0-0

Hopefully with those three laid out we can do the job.

This whole season is so very strange with results in general. The only thing which has been consistent is we will not keep a clean sheet and probably let a goal in at the end of each half.
Other than that I feel strangely confident. Maybe it's because of the break and time heals?
I do believe we hit rock bottom at Wolves and now we will turn it around.

So on that basis I am going for a staggering, roller coaster match of season type of game and 3 - 2 to us with a very nervy finish.

I'd go with

Friedel

Walker
Cuellar
Collins
L Young

A Young
Makoun
Petrov
Reo-Coker
Downing

Bent

Ashley Young outwide. Downing the other side. Both pushed very high up. I think we need to be strong in the middle. Petrov to ocme in.

I think it will be 1-1.

Get your money on Tim Cahill scoring for them, heading in a corner.

Hou will stick to his tried and tested principles and there will be no change in formation.

Looking ahead to the Newcastle game, good news, their only striker of note, Leon Best, will be out for a few weeks.

A bit of joy for our powder puff defence.
