We usually get outplayed by Everton but don't lose, see the 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 2-2, 1-0, we were outplayed in all of those but didn't lose. They're due a bit of luck against us and when you're down there everything goes against you so i'm going for 2-1 to them. Fortunately for us Wigan have got Spurs, West Ham have got Man Utd, Albion have got Liverpool etc so those around us won't be getting much either tomorrow.

Does anyone know if we sold out in the end?

I'm really not sure why, but I've been hit with a wave of positivity and I can really see us getting a result this weekend and it'll propel us towards our eventual safety. Hopefully that's what happens!

Would love to get 3points here, hope for a draw, just to keep the media vultures away from our beloved club. UTV

Last time I went to Goodison Park I,d just returned from Angola and was ( unknowingly ) in the early stages of Cereberal Malaria , the following day I was in a Coma and about to shuffle off to that Big Villa Park in the Sky . Forunately I survived and I remember thinking as I lay in my hospital bed that Goodison might well have been the last Football ground I ever saw , an apalling thought to ' shuffle off '  with .  What kept my spirits up though was the re-runs in my brain of fabulous Paul Mersons fabulous  last minute half-volley from 35 yds out that won us the game 0-1 .  I think I,ve got a headache coming on , could be an omen ?!........................................Godzvilla!

That was one of THE worst games of football I've ever seen.

I was there and had Merson 1-0 at 50/1! Only shot of the whole game.

For some reason I think we're going to win this game, with a really good performance. We should be at full strength and they won't be. Madness I know . .

What does it say about us that we're hoping two or three of our players will be showing something of their England form tomorrow?

I'm not really sure.

Does it say anything?

A Villa win - £10 - 7/2 with Paddy.  That is faith.

Blind faith if you ask me.

Just finished watching all of GH's pre-match media stuff - he looks like he's found a tenner - big grin - all relaxed - and very positive.

I can only hope that watching England this week he'd decided to have a go at it and play the same three up front.  We've as much chance of staying tight at the back as Katie Price - so why not say - sod it - let's outscore them.

Least, that's what I'm hoping his smile said...

Plays Young in the Hole
Fridel stays on his line
Brings on Gabby to play left wing
Brings on Pires to waddle about in midfield
Downing jumps out of a tackle
Young takes all the free kicks
Gives heskey a run out to lumber around up front
usual defensive system for corners and free kicks

feeling really confident

Bar question mark over Walker, strongest squad Houllier has ever had to pick from since taking over.
