Why is it whenever we take the batting powerplay we seem to lose quick wickets.

I reckon that we've not yet figured out how to play in them. Whilst I applaud Cook for taking the batting powerplay so early, 14 runs and 3 wickets in a 5 over powerplay is woeful.

Ball keeping low, Swann will get turn, slow outfield, if we get 260+ Sri Lanka will get nowhere near.
Hopefuly the clouds will come over to aid Jimmy's swing as well.

We're doing our best to fuck this up. Still, as Coops says, we might not need a massive score to win this due to the conditions.

Still, at least 4 of the top 6 contributed. The way this series has gone, we could have them 20 for 3 or 80 for 0 from the first powerplay!

It is still disappointing to finish on 268-9. We were on for a score of 300+, which on this pitch would have been a challenging score.

Sri Lanka look like a side playing the last match of a tour and are thinking of the flight home. If we bowl and field well, we should be able to defend the total. A couple of early wickets should set us up nicely.

Come on you Bears! You can do the Pears a big favour by beating Durham tonight.
