Sorry  Taylorsworkrate, but is'nt the Ashes 5 day games and completely different to the one day game that we are talking about. Correct me if i am wrong but did'nt the aussies thrash us in the one day matches after the Ashes and Anderson struggled then i belive.

I was more referring to your comment about Anderson needing conditions in his favor.
Anderson only played in 2 of the 7 one day games, performing not too badly.

Anderson has taken a lot of wickets in One day internationals.  His form wasn't good during the world cup, although he bowled beautifully against South Africa in very unhelpful conditions.

Jimmy has taken 194 wickets in 145 ODI's. His strike rate is 37.1, statistically second to Broad out of the current squad.

Not many England players emerged from the World Cup with any credit. Anderson looked knackered at the end, having been on the road since early November. Our attack is better with him in it.

I just don't see the value in knackering him out again. We could get quite a few years out of him if we use him properly.

Essex captain James Foster suspended for two games by ECB disciplinary panel after a number of disciplinary issues at the county, who have been fined £5000.

Dave..........he is our best bowler by a mile in any form of cricket but I would prefer him to be rested for the ODI's/20-20 and  saved for the test matches so we can have him fresh and rested

Great start by the batsmen, 45 - 0 off 6. The weather looks iffy so I hope we can get to the 20th over as D/L may well have a say on the result tonight.

Then he'd just play county cricket instead. He's not going to have a blinder in every game but he's at the top of his game and if fit should be in the Engand team.

He is a centrally contracted player so England can decided what cricket he plays and when

Definate delaying tactics by Sri Lanka.......hoping for the rain to save them
