Worcestershire are helping the Bears but we really myst capitalise!

Lancs are 49 - 5 in their 2nd innings, still 27 short of making Worcester bat again.

The Bears are 91 - 2, 190 runs behind. Need a big score please Mr Chanderpaul!

Lancs 60 - 8 still 16 short of making the Pears bat again.

Are the perennial bottlers going to mess it up again?

Come on you Bears!!!!!

The Pears did us a HUGE favour in beating Lancs by 10 wickets. Seems to be pretty attritional stuff at Edgbaston today, 168 - 4 off 59 overs. 113 behind. Hopefully we'll still be 4 down at the close and the deficit much smaller.

Thank you Worcestershire!

Ton up for Shiverin' Shivnarine... if we can win this we go favourites I reckon. Lancashire lost, Somerset in trouble, unfortunately Durham are well on top. Need a win. COME ON YOU BEARS!

(and thank you You Pears!)

Does anyone know if we have given Timmy a new contract ?? His batting over the past month deserves it

Bears finish on 281 - 6, They lost nightwatchman Metters in the last over. So scores are level and Ambrose is 68no with Clarke, Woaksey,Wright and "Sachin" Barker to bat..............Oh if we could get to 400/450 it would be excellent

If we could eke out a 150+ first innings lead, then the least we should get is a draw and enough points to take us above Lancs.

Whilst Durham are looking likely winners against Sussex, don't forget that this is their penultimate game.  Still reckon it is between us and Lancs.

I've had an excellent day at New Road today. Beating the championship leaders in a day and a half is some achievement. Now you Bears can return the favour by beating Yorks!

Sounds like a dodgy pitch to me, I demand an enquiry.

The bounce was low but the pitch looked pretty true to me. My definition of "dodgy" would be the Edgbaston pitch in May, when 3 of our batsmen had to retire hurt, so the Bears only had to take 7 wickets to win.
