Good win for the Bears, pity Lancashire scraped home against the Yorkies. Sets us up for the game at Liverpool on 1st August.Be interesting to see who will play in that game,Chanderpaul or Patel.

I may be wrong on this CD,but from the way Clive Eakin was speaking earlier on line,he spoke as if only one is allowed to play and Patel has only played in the championship because of problems with our overseas players this season. He was only signed to play in the t20 but stayed on as we had no other overseas player available.

Ah, ok. Didn't realise that. I thought you were allowed two foreigners since England started centrally-contracting players?

Hampshire have been deducted eight points in the County Championship for a poor pitch in the match against Nottinghamshire at the Rose Bowl.

Patel is playing due to the fact that Chanderpaul is having trouble getting a work permit/visa

It's looking very tight at the top of the table. Durham's game is yet to finish but 9 points seperate the top three. Once the Durham - Somerset game ends, and it's unlikely that they will win, the Bears and Lancs will still have a game in hand on them. It will be interesting to see what happens when we play Lancashire in a week or so.

I was tempted to see how much of the game I can catch after work, but it does mean 3 smegging buses.
