Rankin has really blossomed this season. If his form continues and he stays clear of injuries I can see a winter with the 3 Lions and Crown.

Ireland have produced an excellent generation of players and England are benefiting.

Imo Ireland should be pushing the ICC for test status. Their one day form since 2007 has been fantastic considering their size, but without test status they'll lose their best players to England, surely they'd be able to beat the likes of Bangladesh in the test arena?

I think the next country that gets test status will be Afghanistan to be honest.

Managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. Troughton, Clarke and Barker all failed again with the bat when needed. Thrashed twice in just over a week by Derbyshire who Lancashire beat in 9 overs last Sunday, can it get any worse?

The Bears are really trying to throw an opportunity away against the Pears.

Chasing 112, we're 53 - 6 off 11.2  >:(

The rate is gettable but the wickets they keep falling

A very impressive win for Worcs, defending just 112. And a double over the Bears. Well done, the Pears!

Lost by 6 runs, 106 - 8 off 20. The way that the wickets were tumbling around the middle of the innings we did well to get as close as we did.

Not sure if that puts the Pears into the quarters, if it does well done, you've played some good 20 over cricket at times.

Unlikely. We lost 3 in a row before this one and are dependent on other teams. But the other results tonight went our way.

Troughton, Clarke and Barker all failed with the bat when needed, sure i wrote that somewhere before, Oh yes after the Derby game on Wednesday! How Giles/Troughton can keep on picking more or less the same side defeat after defeat just baffles me,surely the likes of Rankin, Metters and Potter deserve a go. Also can anyone tell why Chanderpaul has not played yet despite signing on the 1st July?

He's still playing for the West Indies in the last of their three test series against India.
