Hughes for me.

- Did well for Wales, got them as close as anyone to qualifying for major tournaments a decade ago

- Helped Blackburn qualify for Europe on a budget and signed the likes of Bentley, Samba, Warnock and RSC for minimal fees, so he can spot a bargain

-Signed the core of the current Man City side and was doing reasonably well there despite interference, getting them to a LC semi final and leaving a side well placed for a tilt at top 4 for the past two seasons

Has shown that he has an eye for players either with or without substantial money to spend, and his teams are generally combative but can also play a bit. As a bonus, he also might (might) be able to get the best out of the likes of Dunne, Warnock and Ireland again, which -in an ideal world- would be better than having to take the hit financially and giving them away for buttons. That ship might have sailed for that triumvirate of wasters mind, they could well be beyond salvaging.

As I said last year the thought of some Villa fans using the name "Sparky" is enough to put me off.

I suppose Spar-koy sounds better than Spar-keh.

You'd grow to like it Chris.

'If Sparky thinks he's a good player I trust his judgement ahead of anyone on this site.'  (winky effort)

I don't think Sparky would be a bad choice I just, for some irrational reason, don't want him to get the job.

Nothing irrational about it, he's an irritating prick.

I don't think Mark Hughes coming in and making all the high earners want to stay is what Randy is really looking for.

I still think that Houllier will be here next season after a massive turn around in players.

Obviously if we stay up.

Not really. I can see that some people believe in his vision and I can understand them feeling that if we stay up he'll have earned the right to continue.

At the end if the day if we stay up which this poll presupposes I won't be upset if he stays. I'd just prefer Jol, Moyes or Coyle to be our manager. If we go down and he stays though I will be well pissed off.

Yes, but not as bad as an irritated prick.

If we go down... Poyet. Plays decent football but seems to have the bottle for a promotion push too. Unless Brighton blow it, in which case someone else.

If we stay up... ideally Hiddink. Perhaps more realistically Coyle, wouldn't mind Eriksson at a push. Not sure about Moyes as don't see him as a step-up from O'Neill. However, it would show that we mean business and maybe convince more stars to sign for us so I'd be in favour.

Please God no to McDonald, Cowans, Curbishley, Benitez and Fucking Allardyce.

If we go down (Christ I hate saying that) I wouldn't mind Paul Lambert.
