I cant get ticket due to work , but If Jose turns up as manager , I will get one and pay all my staff £30 a hour to make sure I get down VP.

After 10 years of standing on the Holte, I bought my first season ticket the year we were relegated to the third division.

I was a supporter. Now I'm on parole, a sometime spectator, having seen the best, the rest is just not good enough.

I have little choice but to renew.

Towards the end of every season I get bullish and say
'I won't be renewing next season'
But I know i'm just lying to myself, the club is ingrained in my DNA, the pull of the old place affects me on so many levels and it's a 36 year love affair that won't die.

Oh sure, if my head ruled my heart, i'd call it a day.
Like picking a better supermarket, i'd wonder off to support a better club, or merely find something better to do with my time.
It just isn't that simple.

Like any marriage you have to stay the course, there are good times and bad times, the eternal hope of good times is the thing that keeps you going, it still shines in the back of your ever growing cynical mind, the idealism didn't completely die when you passed the age of 16.

We stand together, we fall together.
I still love this pain in the arse club.

I'll renew because whatever happens it will be part of Villa's history which I like to witness. In summary - I'll be back out of morbid curiosity. I see some bad years ahead of us - this season has been terrible but I think it is only a foretaste of what's to come.

Ah, takes me back to the late 1960's.

I feel bad about my vote.  I am not renewing as I wont be able to with a new arrival imminent to our household.  It is a good hour for me to travel either way, so time and cost force my hand.  I would have liked an option that says "Not renewing but with a heavy heart".  Times are tough on the pitch, but I have bloodly loved going to VP every home game over the last two years, and in the future will, when im in a position to do so, renew a ST, and honestly, be it in the Blue Square Premiership or Champions League, I will be there cheering on my team.  I am very proud of being a Villa fan.  Proud of my ground, and most of all a football fan.  If I want to see football live, where better than the true theatre of dreams

Not renewing. Dad bought me my first season ticket in 1980. Seen the good times and bad times. I now just hate what football has become. Nothing to do with Houllier, I actually think some of the football under him has been quite good. I've seen relegation before, seen us sign players like Steve Sims and David Norton and still look back at those times with great affection. I can honestly say standing on the terrace at Swindon celebrating promotion stands up against any of the Wembley wins i've been too.
I hate the fact i'm contributing to make average players who couldn't lace the boots of players like Cowans and Little multi millionaires.
I hate the fact finishing mid table in the Premier League is more beneficial to a club than winning the FA Cup.
I hate the atmopshere at the Villa these days, I sit in upper holte K block. There's no passion anymore, no getting behind the team no matter what. Its just f*ck off back to France Pires/Houllier (delete as appropriate), f*ck off to Liverpool Young, and thats from the first minute.
Last Saturday morning I actually said to the wife if i wasn't for the fact i had a season ticket i would rather stay at home and do the garden than go to the match.
So no, I am not getting a season ticket next season. I hope to a season off will renew my love but i just don't think it will.

I'll be there, what else is there to do on Saturday afternoons (Saturday mornings, Sunday, Monday nights, Friday night etc...)

It is the away games I'll give a miss like I have this season.

Saying that though might be a lot of fun going to a load of new places, taking a decent following and winning!

Moving to University, three years of probably  3 or 4 games a season coming up.

Might not be such a bad thing

That's what I've been thinking, and there are a few championship teams within reach of Sheffield.

3-4 games and you'll be in Sheffield on a 6-9k loan, with no obligations?

Part time indeed.

I won't be. I just don't enjoy anything about going anymore. The game on Saturday was awful: awful atmosphere from the fans, awful performance from the players and an awful manager who i get the impression isn't really bothered about this football club.

Where's the passion? We are all in the stands going through a range of emotions, dreading the thought of relegation and Houiller is just sitting there looking non-plusssed. It's our football club that you are strangling to death mate, we built this up and you seem hell-bent on knocking it down.

I just can't take it anymore. Say what you like about the football we played under MON. But i liked him as a manager, he cared, you could tell from his re-actions to numerous late goals for and against us that he cared the way we do. I liked his team, they were resiliant, they gave their all, they put their bodies on the line for the cause and they scored some wonderful goals. Against Wolves the team was unrecognisable to me, there was no heart, no belief, no passion.

So for now, I won't be renwing.

Don't know yet as Royal Mail is introducing unpopular changes in August and we might work from 7 to 3 on Saturdays so it is not good idea to think about it for now.

Based on this poll, ST sales will be at least 20% ish down regardless
That has to be a concern for RL / PF
