Ridiculously tight. I still think Wigan are fooked and Blackburn in freefall. Then it could be anyone...Newcastle could get dragged into it yet.

Will go for Blose. Injuries, lot of games played couple and playing shit football....relegated with a trophy...

I literally don't have a clue who will drop. Every time I have someone down as looking likely to drop, they pick up a batch of points.

Based on yesterday alone, I'd have us as most likely to drop. Only time will tell if yesterday was a one off or not.

If I really had to try and pick the 3, my head says Villa, Wigan, Blackburn. As these are the three looking least likely to pick up another 8-10 points. Fucking breaks my heart writing that.

What a puff!! I actually have tears in my eyes after writing that last post. I fucking hate loving Villa at times.

Anyway, so as I don't feel such a bumder does anyone want to talk beer, boobs and shagging birds!*

*Dunne and Carew this offer does not include either of you two.

SVC  on TakShite:

Quote
Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore believes the club has the quality to stay up despite a disastrous run of form which sees them outside the drop zone by only 1 point.

Villa’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves on Saturday means they have only won one of their last six outings.

But Collymore thinks the Villa Park side can find their way out of trouble with the firepower they have on offer.

He told Sunday Exclusive: “I can’t see Villa going [down], I’m trying to take my claret and blue glasses off, I’m desperately trying to take them off but they should have enough quality, enough goals and enough ammunition to be able to stay up.

“Villa fans are getting very edgy, very tetchy and rightly so because there is no such phrase as ‘too good to go down’, but, if you’ve got goals with Darren Bent, if Gerard Houllier goes 4-4-2 at Villa Park, you would imagine that we’re going to start picking up points, but it’s going to be mighty close.”

Asked who he thought could go down, Collymore added: “I had Blackpool, Wigan and Wolves even as late as a week a go [to go down] but you know when you see in those glossy magazines they usually have a page that says hot or not, Villa and Blackpool are most definitely not hot at the moment. Wolves and West Ham are.

“I’ve got a sneaking feeling [Birmingham and] Blackpool could get sucked into it but I’m not going to stick my neck out at this point.”

Aye.

Plus we need to keep a few out at the back.

B-lose and Blackpool might get sucked into it? What a punt that is Stan.  They're firmly mired in the brownstuff like ourselves, and they know it.

Surprising that there is a consensus that all of Wolves, West Ham and The Albion will stay up.

Why? Wolves and West Ham are in magnificent form (5th and 6th in the form table respectively) and have new players (O'Hara and Hitzelsperger respectively) doing the business for them. West Brom's form is poorer but still much better than ours and Uncle Woy seems to have turned things around since he came in.

I think all three of those sides have shown some pluck of late. They might not have got the results they want too often, but they've shown they're up for the fight.

That's what worries me most about us. We're - on paper - a far better side than any of those three, way, way better, but we just look so totally without spirit. We look broken.

West Ham are a good side on paper Paulie, much better than all but us down there. And Parker is brilliant this season. In fact, we could do with him crocked!

West Ham also have Parker in very impressive form, Ba scoring a few goals and Rob Green seems to have rediscovered his form.

The Baggies seem able to score goals regardless of who they play, the thing we thought that would keep us up.

Wolves have a team spirit we can only dream of having at the moment.

Did anyone just chuckle at someone quoting to Chris just then West Ham and Wolves are 5th and 6th in the form guide when that's the tried and tested Smith method of always quoting the form guide when we're in a bit of poor form!
