but as has been said the Makoun header was a golden chance, and the Young one second half so the chances were there.

If we're going to stay up, i think we're going to have to do a whole lot fucking better than create two chances at home against a relegation rival.
I'm still mystified as to how we didn't score from the two opportunities, But Makoun did a Keegan, Spain 82 and Ashley's hitting the bar from that close was a joke.

Less said about Cuellar's chance, the better.

Regarding the Cueller chance, my first instinct was that he missed it on purpose, really rather fancifull but when I spoke to my dad the next day he said exactly the same thing unprompted.

Preposterous it may be, but given the players body language in many of the games this season I would definately say that he didn't give it his full attention.

Makouns miss was awful. Unchallenged from 6 yards you need to be hitting the target
He's had a really shit start to his villa career

Eh?
Come on.
You won't get a more whole hearted player than Carlos.

Bent was the worst offender for looking like he couldn't be bothered.

I disagree with the term 'shit start'
He's looked promising and capable of something we haven't had in the centre for some time, creativity.
I think we'll see the best of him next season.

Quite.

We seemed to spend most of the time hitting limp crosses straight at their goalkeeper.

And it was impeccably observed, well done both sets of fans

Unfortunately Wiki it wasn't I could hear chanting which I think was coming from underneath the away end.

having said that the PA wasn't working in the Upper north so some people not in their seats may not have known.

If we have got to really on a 37 year old midfielder who cant run to try and win a game when we have loaned out a hungry exciting young prospect like BB then we do deserve to go down.

Blackburn are shit but because we beat them at home the performance is on par with beating Barcalona

The thing is we cant afford to wait half a season for players to settle. Football is all the do for a living, they should be able to come into any team and withing 3 or 4 games settle in.

I slagged off makoun on Saturday because I thought he was shit. Apart for his pass to AY his header was a joke, I lost count of the number of times he lost possession followed by a rash challenge, looked extremely 1 dimensional to me and very very mediocre

Yep, we appear to need 8 chances to score 1.

I suppose, if we were being generous it's a positive that we're creating chances. Trouble is, I'm not feeling very generous.

When Chris is feeling downbeat about Villa there is definitely something to worry about.

(This is twice today that I've paid out to Chris - I think I'm turning into the Nash!)

I wear lucky pants, i keep to the same routine, i cheer every tackle by a villa player and every pass! I do everything in my power to be a positive influence on the boys on the pitch! What happened saturday did not help the players one bit and just by saying i dont like the manager does not excuse the fact there were treacherous bastards everywhere in that stadium saturday!

With the greatest respect, I think its time you changed your pants.

"considerably better fan than yow" alert.

I'm guessing you were pissed when you posted all that shite last night and are feeling suitably foolish this morning?

Who is our Dalglish?

If we sack Houllier, we would have to go all out for the best man, I just don't know who that would be.

The big problem in my eyes.

Probably will see the best of him. He'll be right at home in the Championship I reckon.
