Do you have a web site too Chico?

I've had enough of Houllier and I want him out of Villa.

I don't care ( or know) who wrote the banner or why he did it, I just agree with what it said.

I agree with what he said but I don't agree with draping it over the Holte within minutes of the game starting.

As crap as results have been, as crap as Houlier's running of the club have been we are, or should still be, 100% behind the team when they need us most, not stirring up unrest before a ball is kicked.

Putting his site address underneath his anti Houllier slogan said to me that it was more about him than anything about Houllier.  The wanker.
Spot on.

That's how I see it too, except it should be 110% of course.

Vent your feelings after the game if that's what grabs you, but not before or during.

We're not going down, not yet anyway. Everyone needs to get behind the team and that plank winding everyone up with a daft banner gave everyone the wrong message.

Maybe we are maybe we are not, but such banners do not help. They haven't in the past they won't in the future.
Good talking point down the pub, is all.

As much as we're looking like dicks on the pitch & in the dugout, do we really need people making the fans look like dicks?

that looked like a good quality duvet sheet.  His wife must be raging, especially when it got confiscated.

So a banner that was up for a few minutes and was hardly seen by anybody set the tone for the day?  Not the shit football, piss poor tactics or pathetic substitutions?  Some eejit with a bedsheet was the cause of all the problems?

definitely helped set the atmosphere for the game amongst the fans!
what it should have said is lets get behind the team and help them get inspiration from us! but the fecker with the issue started the ball rolling down hill!
You may think your way was right to boo and call for the managers head whilst the game was going on, i like to call you treacherous basterds for deserting the TEAM!

Each to their own an all that, but it's really frustrating that someone would put that up when their opinion was clearly that of the minority. It was doing nothing except causing trouble and apparently plugging their website.

Arsehole.

This.

When you say the view expressed was that of the minority (and clearly, to boot) are you suggesting there is a huge groundswell of support behind Houllier?

I can't recall encountering any of this at any games I've attended this season. If I had to quantify it I'd say it's somewhere between casual indifference and outright hostility to the bloke.

Mainly because of the reaction to the fans seeing it.

I came up from the concourse to see many lower holters shouting abuse to the upper holte, more and more people started joining in with the shouts to get it taken down, and eventually the steward removed it because it was getting pretty heated.

Weren't people in the lower stand complaining about it as it was hanging down too far and was blocking their view, hence the reason the steward removed it?

No, the main abuse was coming from mid way up as people first saw it coming up the stairs 'wanker, take it down!' was hollered quite a few times

the steward removed it because one of the stewards by me told him to because of the anger it was causing

Regardless of when the banner was unfurled, turns out the bloke was spot on

does it heck, the people who do anything for the detriment of the team are the ones in the wrong! Grow up, shout what you want after the game!
