I'm sure I read somewhere that Symons had got into trouble recently after watching his son play football and starting a fight with an opposition dad.

Didn't he have links with the BNP which made the story of Cantona the Vigilante a bit more plausible, if he'd been a mild mannered accountant it might have been reported differently.

The bloke who he Kung-fu'ed, I'll never forgot what he claimed to have shouted at Cantona.

'It's an early bath for you Eric!'

You missed the rest out Fletch.

As Cantona approached:  "I respectfully request that you keep your distance, sir."

As Cantona tap danced on his chest: "Ouch! What a rotter you are."
