seems some on here have their own agenda wih this one. The guy was sacked from his job by the mighty Villa hierachy after making some comments defending his position on here, against the playground yobs and their followers. A Tribunal found for him, which alone is some justification, yet still the yob mentality prevails and continued criticism of him and his position tries to belittle attempts to explain his position.
I'm not sure which I deplore most the twats who for their own reasons engineered his sacking over a trivial act or their followers on here. The Lerg may not be the most site savvy of fans he may not have been down much in the last 20 years but he's a fan nevertheless and a brief scan of his site shows me he knows more about the Villa, especially its history than his mealy mouthed critics on here.

Nobody engineered his sacking, nobody has a hdden agenda and for you of all people to rail against internet 'criticism' is laughable.

Then you need to hand over your dinner money and roll your sleeves up for a chinese burn.

All gather in a circle round Morrissey and give him a 'knees up.'

Can't see why the club sacked him.  From what I read he defended himself against criticism, maybe got a bit up himself and precious while doing it and ruffled a few (in my opinion) over-sensitive H&V posters feathers.  Hardly sackable offences and I think the club have acted ridiculously on this occasion.

I'm just pleased to see that everyone is discussing it in such a polite and friendly manner. I can't wait till Martin O'Neill has his LMA tribunal ;-)

Aye. its not how he acted, but the consequences. if it had been the other way round and say Risso or Bad English had been reported to their employers or their employers had found them on this site and told them not to come on during their own time because it wasn't what they wanted their employees doing - well quite frankly fuck 'em. None of their business. There's been a hell of a lot worse handbags on here with bannings than that little arguement and that was the end of it.- no-one lost their job or got a writ.

Lets not forget our esteemed ex-manager winning a case from a website printing a readers (not a journalist's) letter calling him an idiot which basically means GH can sue the pants off most of you if he can prove it.  If we're going down that road, well H & V might as well shut up shop because we'll have half the members sueing each other or defending unfair dismissal cases

If Risso went on a site dedicated to his company's customers and acted the way John did you could see why they would be concerned.  I'm not saying it's a sacking matter but they might have an opinion.

Exactly.  I have to tread very carefully on the forums at offshoretaxdodgingtoryscum.net.

You'd have to defect to Lundy, or St Kilda, and get a new job as a puffin

There is some irony on this thread with the sentiment of some of the posts accusing someone else of acting like a see you next tuesday.

Can't recall that episode on here.

All you need to know is he makes you look thick skinned, Tim

*wink*

Ha ha

I can't understand why he was sacked myself ....

As Dave Cooper said, looks like the club were looking for an excuse to me.
