Gentlemen ... whatever you say I did and how I did it it on that thread, I have a collection of e-mails from estimable people who had and have quite a different opinion.

Is it me or does he still come across as being a bit arrogant and condescending?

thats not the point really. if he upsets H & V then they can ban him, but losing yer job is over the top. 15 years ago everyone knew the rules of the internet and played by them -i.e. if you lost an arguement or got a bit upset by anything - hard luck.  now due to the efforts of various governments, companies and lawyers, its full of kiddies, dullard celebrities droning on twitter and shopping sites. If you're likely to want to sue someone or sack them because of something they say about you then really you shouldn't be on the internet - you're ruining it. I don't know if anyone complained to the club about him but if they did they're a bit of a tart and should grow some balls. If the club just decided to sack him on the basis that it may be have upset someone then whoever did it was bit of a tart. That all IMO in case some knobhead wants to sue me - i wouldn't put it past them :0)
Bollocks Greg, he was told by the club to stop coming on here and acting like a twat.He carried on being a twat.

its in his own time. He allowed to be a fan of aston villa and argue the toss like everyone else, or do you advocate only non-villa supporters being employed by the club?

A fan who couldn't find his way to VP for 20 years.

Can we please knock this one on the head. It's getting a bit like a witch hunt.

I suggest we just let bygones be bygones; that's more preferable all round.

I just wish everyone all the best, and leave it at that.

Which probably would have happened had you not decided to come back on here for a bit of a gloat.
Now everyone has been reminded of just how much of a twat you made of yourself in the original thread.

Not really. Not from that comment anyway. He's only trying to back up his side of things, which he has every right to do.

I'm not siding with him either, before anyone suggests it. I don't enough about the situation to side with anyone.

I do know that employees at Villa now have to sign an Internet usage policy. Probably off the back of this case I should imagine.

Aye. its not how he acted, but the consequences. if it had been the other way round and say Risso or Bad English had been reported to their employers or their employers had found them on this site and told them not to come on during their own time because it wasn't what they wanted their employees doing - well quite frankly fuck 'em. None of their business. There's been a hell of a lot worse handbags on here with bannings than that little arguement and that was the end of it.- no-one lost their job or got a writ.

Lets not forget our esteemed ex-manager winning a case from a website printing a readers (not a journalist's) letter calling him an idiot which basically means GH can sue the pants off most of you if he can prove it.  If we're going down that road, well H & V might as well shut up shop because we'll have half the members sueing each other or defending unfair dismissal cases

I'm thinking of taking my employer to an industrial tribunal. Yesterday they made me interview Sharon Stone while she was standing outside in the cold wearing a very tight dress.

Her nipples were like the wheelnuts on a Scania truck. I don't think I will sleep properly for months

And you didn't take any photos? Sorry I gave up reading the rest of the thread after reading this, it's much more interesting.

seems some on here have their own agenda wih this one. The guy was sacked from his job by the mighty Villa hierachy after making some comments defending his position on here, against the playground yobs and their followers. A Tribunal found for him, which alone is some justification, yet still the yob mentality prevails and continued criticism of him and his position tries to belittle attempts to explain his position.
I'm not sure which I deplore most the twats who for their own reasons engineered his sacking over a trivial act or their followers on here. The Lerg may not be the most site savvy of fans he may not have been down much in the last 20 years but he's a fan nevertheless and a brief scan of his site shows me he knows more about the Villa, especially its history than his mealy mouthed critics on here.
