Sri Lanka is who I've still got my money on.

Canadians are taking the piss here with this "cramp" injury. 5 overs have been bowled in the last 45 mins by New Zealand because of this player being injured. They aren't going to win, or get anywhere near the target so he should just retire hurt.

If it wasn't for the fact I had a long winded and urgent report to write, I would retire drunk by mid evening.

No surprise but Bangladesh have beaten the Netherlands, so we definitely have to beat the Windies now and hope that South Africa do the business against Bangladesh too.

We have to win, but we have a couple of chances if we win. If South Africa beat Bangladesh we'd be through or if India beat the West Indies we'd be through. Or that's how I read the table! Most importantly, we have to win.

I'm not convinced we will do that against the windies but that is it with England... we don't know which team will turn up!

I think we'll win, just because our backs are against the wall. But we will still have to rely on another result.

2 fantastic run outs from Ireland getting rid of Smith and Kallis.

SA currently 95-4. Could this be another upset I wonder?

Ireland winning is surely good for England isn't it?
SA will have to win against Bangladesh to go through and that means we are through if we beat WI.

Should never have come down to this though!

If Ireland win today, and then beat Netherlands (with us beating the Windies) it will go down to - South Africa v Bangladesh and India v Windies

SA & India win the table would be -

India 9
South Africa 8
England 7
Ireland (6)
Windies (6)
Bangladesh (6)

SA & Windies win

South Africa 8
Windies 8
England 7
India 7
Ireland 6
Bangladesh 6

Bangladesh & India win

India 9
Bangladesh 8
England 7
Ireland 6
South Africa 6
Windies 6

Bangladesh & Windies win

Bangladesh 8
Windies 8
India 7
England 7
Ireland 6
South Africa 6

So in answer to your question Dave - yeah. (With Ireland knowing that a Windies win v England will see Ireland more than likely qualify on better run rate).

We aren't out yet then? Oh fuck it, what will be, will be tomorrow. We seem to have been playing continuous cricket for about six years now.

If we win tomorrow, I suspect one of the results we need will occur and we'll go through. I'd definitely be considering dropping Anderson though, and Collingwood.

Anderson has bowled like a bag of spanners all tournament. And what the chuff does Tredwell have to do to get a game?
