Adam Gemili says he's going to stay in athletics and not return to football - fucking right you are mate. You'd be mad to through away the potential you have.

It's one of those decisions on what is more important. If he is Champ level or better in football then he will probably be on a minimum of £100k a year but if he could improve his running he could be one of the top 10 of the 100 metres but not earn anywhere near the same amounts.

True, but what if he isn't Championship level?

He was playing for Dagenham and Redbridge and spent last season on loan to Thurrock. There are thousands of footballers who play at the level and never get any better - there's a lot of competition to get to as high a level as the Championship

Well then, definitely Athletics is the best for him then. I didn't know what level he was at when mentioned earlier.

I've heard it a few times now re how fast the track is, why is that?  Is it a special surface or is it the design of the stadium that reduces cross & headwinds or just the fact its a new surface?  Anyone seen any plausible explanations.

I was wondering the same myself

This may help

I really hope no one is DQ in the 100m final. I know they can delay things but for the final i'd prefer they were allowed one false start.

Whenever I hear the commentator say "Perri Shakes-Drayton", I can't stop myself saying "Johnny Hates Jazz".

Or "Doctor Who assistant shocks Tamworth"

And i'm sure someone just fell in the steeple chase but the commentators didn't even mention it.
