Gymnastics is all very impressive, but like diving etc, I don't like the fact that the scoring is based on people's opinions. How on earth for example, do you get to the position where a team can appeal and then move up the points table? Can we appeal the FA Cup final against Chelsea?

The Japanese appeal was that the judges had judged it a fall and not scored it and the Japs argued it was an unorthodox dismount. When the judges reviewed it they realised it could be one and had to score it. Nothing to do with crowd.

A sport that I've previously had very little appreciation for but am now in wonderment as to how they can play it so well is hockey. How they can control such a small ball so well with such a thin stick is beyond me. Must be like playing headers and volleys with a ball bearing.
Any idea what the new/demo sports are this year?
