Far cry from the days of telling the General on this how happy we were with Randy

As you where then.....

What a day, what a transfer window.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if somewhere down the tracks in the next few months someone came in for Villa.

Still, you have to say there are still a few hours left, I genuinely thought and was told that we had tagged 2 players, obviously things have changed thus far.

The NetworkVilla twitter account says Simpson story is bullshit.  Run by the club so I guess it must be true.

I know it's difficult sometimes not to get carried away, but by leaving things until the last day it certainly doesn't help. I have a feeling that Hutton will sign, but surely this could have been done 4 days ago, and not with less than 4 hours left.

It would have been nice to do some of the business we desperately needed to do this time last week rather than wasting so much time and effort replacing one of the three players we've moved on since then, though.

Sometimes we make it very hard for ourselves.

So we put all our eggs in one basket , fulham gazump us and we are fucked now lichaj is out till next year-what happened to lining up your replacements before you sell?
Presumably this is just you once again assuming that the rarely-correct Sky Sports idiots ARE  correct for once?

When pretty much everything else indicates that Hutton will probably sign in the next couple of hours?

Sky said ages ago that the Hutton to Fulham thing was rubbish and that he was at Villa Park. That thing on the BBC site is rubbish.

I think i might turn off SSN off, they don't seem to have a clue, they're just making a lot of it up. A reporter saying only Fulham have put a bid in, but on the yellow ticker, they're saying Hutton is in Birmingham having a medical. Hmm.

sky reported from tottenham that only fulham had a bid accepted and villa hadnt followed up yesterdays enquiry-that was a couple of hours ago-thankfully mrs east has the remote so im avoiding the high pitched squabble , knowing my old friend clampy will keep us abreast of it all.

Yep and that is only his running of the club that has lead to this.

Please let there be 1 surprise Villa signing, a number 10, than can actually create chances for our £24m striker otherwise we are pretty buggered.

Cant be arsed to read the last 100 pages of the last 2 days...can someone give me a run down on whats happened or rather what has happened?

We're apparently getting relegated because of a couple of spurious rumours.

That ticker things about 3 hours behind. Hutton is having a medical apparently.

The General's exact words were 'imagine what McCleish could do with an owner that backs him.

I imagine right now that McCleish is still wondering what it would be like.

Cheers Chris. I'm going to go walk my dog...hopefully by the time I get back we'll still be in the Premier League.

BBC WM said hutton has chosen fulham- im not even watching sky but earlier they reported harry as saying only fulham had had a bid accepted-not too fussed whether he signs or not as hes hardly the greatest right back around is he.

What angers me is the way the squad is being laid threadbare by the current regime.
