Not joking, but have been decorating all afternoon with only the radio on. Then just checked the Beeb website, and it says we have signed Enda from Shamrock Rovers, who can't play until January at least, and Jermaine Jenas from Spurs. Also suggests the Hutton deal is now hanging in the balance. Am awaiting the punchline.

So after all this penny pinching,we end up with Jenas on loan,a player who hasnt performed consistantly for a couple of years. If we shipped out Makoun to get this tube in,then we really have sunk to the levels of Stoke,Bolton etc.

Suprised Bent hasn't handed in transfer request,wonder what lies he got told in Jan.

It may have looked like a good move before we sold our 3 best players from last season.

So, to confirm, as I prepare to log off for a while: Hutton is having a medical with us while Fulham have agreed a fee for him, and Jenas is having talks with us and Stoke.

seems to the the situation -spurs very clear that villa didnt follow up the enquiry and spurs accepted fulhams £4m bid.

sfa say hutton in talks with villa unless spurs have told him of fulhams interest-confusing times.

arsenal offering £10m for arteta of everton apparently.

Typically sky seem to be covering all bases and must be right on one of them .

So after "assessing" our players. Mcleish comes up with Jenas on loan ? I am now clearly seeing why Lerner took him. As he just wanted a better job even knowing we had no money to spend. Not his fault that this is a clear out and wage bill exercise. But the players are going to see this as surrendering any ambition ........
