We need a director of football, or some sort of strategy.

Why we are signing Alan Hutton for £4m, when Davide Santon who has gone for £5m to Newcastle is beyond me. A 20 year old, full Italy international who's only gonna go up in value. It makes no sense.

Fulham and Newcastle are scouting and signing the best from the Erividise and Ligue 1 respectively. Why aren't we doing that?

I think the less said about our scouts the better. Lerner sanctioned the signings of Ireland and Makoun and fucked them both off without getting to double figures in appearances for the club. He hasn't a clue, I wouldn't be holding my breath for anything inspiring to come out of today.

I don't blame RL for Makoun, as I think the prospects were good, and Houllier was the manager in post who recommended him. Ireland was an accident waiting to happen though, and as have posted previously, this was agreed when we didn't have a manager. They should have just took the £8 million rather than part exchange. But I think whoever agreed it, did so because they had no idea whether we would have a manager by end of last seasons transfer window end, and wanted to please fans with a signing.

Just to put everyones mind at rest, Oliver Kay from the Times newspaper has tweeted saying James Milner is not leaving the England camp to sign for anyone.  A few clubs asked about him earlier in the summer but were told his is not for sale.

No Milner home coming im afraid - im 100% sure of that.

Who knows but that half a mil a yr could be recouped if we unearth some really talent with a good SELL ON fee's or just develop the youth better so that they can be used more in the future set up so there wouldnt be a need to shopping and spending millions every transfer window.  just a thought.....
