Why are we after Hutton? The Spuds will use that money to get Cahill.
Lets just get Cahill back.

Erm hutton =£3m and cahill=£15m- thats why.

Just tell Spurs to fuck off and find someone else.
I dont know why anybody tries to do business with those treacherous snakes.

I see Mat Kendrick has said that the Hutton deal has stalled- Levy playing hardball over the fee. Great news when we've sold Luke Young and Lichaj is out for four months. This proves the folly of selling before replacements are confirmed. This has always been Villa's risky policy. Well done Randy!

I'd tell Levy to Do One.  Probably the biggest justification for signing Hutton was that we would get him quite cheaply.  I'd sign Clyne who I'd guess would be available for around 1-2m and use Beye as an insurance policy.

Agree 100% Dante. Tell him to f**k off and say we'll look at other targets or run with Herd and Beye as back up. Call his bluff and see if he really wants to carry on paying a player who clearly won't play for them this season

maybe hes heard that lichaj out for 4 months and sees a chance to up the price knowing villa are desperate for a right back- levy is far too smart to miss a chance and we are sitting ducks.

Yes, agree. What a pathetic situation Villa have got themselves into over a right-back. Since last season we've lost Walker back to Spurs, sold Luke Young and now Lichaj is out for 4 months! That leaves us with Herd and Beye (even he might go). I suppose Cuellar could play there but he's injured at the moment and in my opinion is not a natural RB.

Best news of the day so far. Hopefully between Randy's tightarseness and Levy's determination to screw every club in transfers, the hutton deal will fall through.

Coyle quoted arsenal £17m last week , no way hed sell at £9m.
Enda can play left back or centre half.

Tottenham made a cheeky deadline move for Bolton’s England star Gary Cahill last night after Arsenal pulled out of the bidding.

Spurs supremo Daniel Levy is trying to persuade Wanderers boss Owen Coyle to take David Bentley and Sebastian Bassong plus cash for his star defender, but was told to come up with cash and not swaps.

Spurs line-up deadline day swoop for Parker, Diarra and Bellamy

Coyle wants straight cash - and is holding out for the £17 million that was quoted to North London rivals Arsenal - as he wants his own choice of players.

Turbo and Ozone have won the dance off after a thrilling finale using Kelly, an attractive yet utterly useless b-girl, as a secret weapon.

But Bolton wont have to pay us a sell on fee.

With Arry and Levi, we are swimming with sharks. Hopefully they can sort something out. Hutton is a good player, you can see where Spurs are coming from, they forked out nearly 9mil for the guy, we supposedly have bid 3mil. Spurs will get less for him at Christmas and he'll be coming into the last few months of his contract.
Hopefully we do land a decent midfielder though. Petrov tries, but he can't play with intensity for the 90, that is our priority.

I'm not sure Cahill is *that* good.  I think the odd screamer of a goal seems to cover up some bad defensive performances, especially positioning.  If Cahill is 10m (without our cut) and Dann is 6m then I owuld go for Dann.
