I caught 10 mins of SSN this morning and i'm glad i'm not going to spend all day watching it. They filmed staff opening the Spurs Lodge gates and said something along the lines of 'Spurs are open for business'. It was very depressing.

Would you feel better if you think of Davis and Ridgewell as having been on extended loans? - no, I thought not.

I doubt we're interested in Ridgewell or Davis.

And of course Spurs are open for business. This is their day. Its that most wonderful time of the year when lots of sycophantic idiots reel off a load of names at Bagpuss and he says he likes them, shrugs and mumbles something about his chairman. Then the'll save one for the very last minute (or beyond) so that everybody will be talking about poxy Spurs when the smoke clears.

Oh yes and Modric will be gone after they hold out for the best price. And it will be massively more than you'd pay for a lesbian who doesn't score or create goals.
Hooray for Spurs! Merry Spursday!

Always thought Davis was pretty good. I know he was deemed too shite during our moneybags days but then Hutton wouldn't have got near our 1st team 3 years ago.

That's part of the problem isn't it? We all thought we were going to be competing with Man utd & Chelsea for the big names so some convinced themselves that anyone who wasn't good enough to walk into their first teams was 'shit' and surely not good enough to play for us either. Now reality is kicking in some are finding the standard of players we can afford and who are prepared to play for us a bit hard to swallow

there's a fair bit of that for sure, though i thought the problem was the wage bill. Lerner and the General certainly impled there was still money there for quality players once we could afford their wages. Seems they lied.

Things may be a little clearer come tomorrow

Lerner has dug a big hole for himself by promising a bright future then leaving everything to the biggest ego in football and we all see now how that turned out. Does anyone have any idea of what our wages are now compared to before the fire sale?

Davis signed a new 5 year contract with Rangers last month.

Not going to happen.

Glad to see the Mirror keeping up their standards.

rangers out of europe since then and have lost millions -they need to sell players.

they're an odd bunch, them spurs fans.  Nearly every summer there's usually at least one ridiculous transfer rumour that they're about to sign Messi, Kaka etc.. and every year it doesn't happen. You only have to look at their Forums and they've got about 4 transfer threads on the go with one guy claiming they're about to sign Ashley Young *facepalm*

I'm sure the Spurs bloke on about signing Ashley Young must be joking, Greg! Riffing on the fact they were about to sign him every transfer window for the last five years!

And what are you doing on Spurs' forums anyway?!
