Unbelievable. Did anyone else read how Gibson quit Twitter after half an hour because he received so much abuse from Man U fans.

I did a double take on Evening Standard headline quoting Sir Richard .

Branson: I'll rebuild Villa!

Then I read the piece!

How do these freebies get onto local trains?

Epic quote fails and Darren Flaming Gibson.

I'd quit whilst you're behind, Old Boy.

I see harry revealed hes been trying to sign ashley young for the last 3 yrs but to no avail.

.....yup deal was done last year, with Jenas, and two others coming to us in exchange, Ash was house hunting in North London, the deal fell through when MOM left! otherwise would have happened.

Hairdresser or estate agent?

Surveyor, but I know some of Ashley's family, which is how I also knew that the Utd deal was agreed in January.

I heard nothing of the sort. And he had moved out of the Stourbridge Riviera some time before that.

Gibson would be a strange one. We have lots of average midfielders backed up by mediocrities...why buy another? If spending that money surely it'd be better to throw on an extra million or two and get Scott Parker who rather than adding to the list of mediocrities would walk into the first team?

Hoping that this is a stalking horse and we're after Parker. Besides, wouldn't a full back like Hutton be a more urgent requirement?

You would have thought he would have enough wonga in the bank. I'll give it a few weeks before he starts complaining about the racial abuse he receives.

It was the last para. I found interesting. Because of security concerns the team live and train 1250 miles from the ground.

Correct. Then along come Man City to rescue him next summer.

TBF to him, he's won everything multiple times at Club level. He's been the best forward in two of the three top leagues in the world over multiple years.

What else has he got left to achieve? He goes there and has a long contract he wouldn't get elsewhere, can help build something and perhaps a player of his stature can help aid the issues with racism over there?

It's still an awful idea.

I would happily play any of Petrov, Delph, Bannan, Makoun or Ireland before Darron Gibson was allowed anywhere near our midfield.

Would be a worry. Especially if we started using him like SHA used Gardner, i.e. shoot on sight.
