Would he come? He could probably come in as another side's main striker so what can we offer him? Does he want to play as some sort of quazi-attacking midfielder? The problem we have is if there's one place in the team for a striker then numbers wise we probably have too many forwards already. Are they good enough to cover for Bent though if he's injured? Gabby has in the past but as i've said, if he's out the team upto christmas then i can see him leaving in January.

Regarding Enrique, i might have this wrong, but a football correspondent said earlier this week that Noooocastle were getting fed up of the negativity of Enrique, and that they would look for about £6m, he's not worth £15m thats for certain.

Sturridge on loan.......yes please, i thought that when it was mentioned on SSN that Villa from Chelsk would let him go on loan.Ideal for us.

wouldnt think ridgewell would be good enough at either centre back or left back- id rather keep cuellar than go down that route.

With the likelihood of 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 being the favoured approach, we do not need a new striker. Gabby is back-up for Bent and a good oen in my opinion. Delfouneso is, I think, surplus to requirements even tho' he's just been given a contract.
What we need most is a holding midfielder to replace / cover Petrov.
Oh, and some defenders ...
