Come on everyone. Why would a PL football manager tell a poxy radio station his transfer strategy? Why would be specific about the number of players he will definitely sign? Utter bollox. Don't fall for it.

I've just seen him say on Midlands Today that "we're looking to sign one more".
He did indeed.Let's all go round TVs house for some utter bollox juice.

That's very disappointing if true. A poor move from the board.

i guess it ties in with kendrick who said there was no money and the downing cash will go on given and nzogbia?

he said the yioung money went in advance on bent.

all this compensation been paid out seems very much to have hit the coffers.

I can't really believe that's true.  It's plain to everyone that we need more than 2 new signings.

the reporter says mcleish straight as a dye and not the kind to play games , he seemed a bit downbeat ,really bad feeling around the club these days , depressing times.

probably explains the troubles getting a manager if finances arent available.

If that is true, and the signing is N'Zogbia, then that will mean we've sold Young AND Downing for almost 40 million pounds and reinvested only just over a quarter of it.

That is on top of releasing, what, ten players this summer.

Nowhere near sufficient, and smacks of an owner who doesn't care anymore.

let's see if it works out that way. I'll ship in an entire truckload of it and drink it myself if we only sign one more player this window.
