Lets be honest we dont know the finer points of the offer but 10 million for Nzogbia is a fair price.

The quicker we pay, the quicker we get the player, the quicker he starts training, the quicker he settles in.

Bugger me it's not something Steven Hawking needs to work out

totally correct.

So if he signs in a day or two for £9m would you still argue that paying £10m today was the right thing to do?

We don't know how negitiations are going, all we have is what shit nespapers, internet sites and sports channels are pretending they know.

Yeah i would because Ive bought items in the past which have then gone on sale a few days later but I was still happy with my purchase because i had the money at the time, it was what i wanted and the price was reasonable.

That's a shit analogy.

A better one would be you go to an auction, make a bid and then when there are no other bids you offer more.

yeah so is yours, it seems to me that their is no auction just a buy it now price perhaps it was £9m who knows, we bid £9m and either the owner actually changed his mind which hes within his rights to do so and then just said actually £10m will get your man i wont accept £9m anymore. So you pay it or you dont

Whelan may look like an aged, frail, kindly man but he is a businessman first and foremost so I wouldn't exactly take everything he says as fact. I've heard stories that he is really asking for £16million or £20million. I've heard other stories that he asked for £9million and then upped it to £10million when we bid £9million.

No one else is interested so why should we let Whelan wipe his cock on our curtains again?
Having dealt with JJB in the past, I can confirm that his organisation were street fighters and hard negotiators. He's no mug.

seems the very same slagging off whelan for sticking to his guns are the ones who praised randy for doing exactly the same thing when liverpool wanted barry.

you either believe hes worth £10m and pay the money or you dont and look elsewhere-stop moaning because that nasty mr whelan wont rollover and let you tickle his tummy!

We didn't sell Barry because we neither needed or wanted to. Whelan wants to sell N'Zogbia.

does he really?-

“It’s £10m or there is no deal,” said Whelan. “They offered us £9m and we refused it; firstly because we would like to keep Charles, and secondly because if he is to go, then we have to get the right price for him.

“Charles has played fantastically well in the last year and, with his pace and penetration, there’s no doubt in my mind that he is the finest left-winger in the Premier League

Wigan owner Dave Whelan has already indicated N'Zogbia will be sold.

"We have to sell Charles N'Zogbia because he's on the last year of his contract," said Whelan.

"We can't keep him if a big club comes for him, and he does deserve a big club because he's that kind of quality player.

"We would love to keep him and pay him what he wants to stay with us but it's a very difficult situation. He's such a great player and we are such a small club sometimes we don't go together."
