We're all assuming that McGinge will want to play with two wingers.
I reckon he's more likely to want N'Zogbia (or someone else as yet unidentified) as a supporting forward with just Albrighton or Downing or ANOther out wide. I believe at the DogS he played tht way with one of the FB providing width when required down the right.

His version of width there was letting a winger outside the centre circle.

Lichaj, might be off on loan again to leeds

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11677_7023180,00.html

Was speaking to a Leeds season ticket holder at work yesterday. He was raving about Lichaj and Bannan. He couldn't believe that Bannan didn't get more playing time and said Lichaj was by far and away their best defender. Slightly OT but he also said that we dodged a bullet with Grayson (Leeds fans hate him, will be gone by November) and said their season tickets had gone up £30 this season and he would be at nearly £600 for next season. So cheer up lads and ladies it could be worse we could be Leeds!!!

Exactly how I see it EffDee! With some of our midfielders pushing forward when they can - Makoun, Delph, Bannan or even Ireland!!!! Also got the option of Gabby. Two wingers a bit of a luxury in another season of transition, esp with AM at the helm! He's gonna play it as safe as he can...

Haha, that did make me chuckle.

Wouldnt have minded Adam but over priced considering his one season

So wheres Liverpool suddenly getting all this money from?
It's not getting spent on crippling interest payments anymore.

I'm not convinced by Adam either but I reckon £7m seems about right.

£7m for Adam is good business.

Yeah, £7 million seems fairly reasonable.

Especially considering you just spent £20 million on someone so unknown that would be able to walk into own family's house and not get recognised.

It wasn't £20m but point taken.

There might be a degree of truth to that, although McLeish is on record as saying he wants to play a system that suits us and utilise wingers plural.

Unless you have two absolutely outstanding CM's with huge reserves of energy, two in the centre can leave you exposed - particularly against the better sides.

Mentioned a while back that I'd like to see Delph left side of a central three and perhaps Albrighton as the only out and out winger. Craig Bellamy also mentioned that Ireland's best for for Citeh was left of a central three -so if he's sticking around it might be worth experimenting with the weird baldy bastard out there.

Well, that and the 50m you got for Fernando Torres.

Yep - and £6m for Babel. Those two deals financed Suarez and Carroll.

Have to say, Adam for 7mill is a decent deal.

Only five Premier League clubs left to purchase players. Villa are one of them.
