I wonder which 2 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' players are dropping down a division, I'll guess Gerrard and Carragher. I'm glad they have gone for Adam though rather than Milner or Parker, I really think we should push the boat out for one of those 2 to be our driving force for the next few years and if we have to sell Downing to fund it then so be it. Parker, Given, N'Zogbia and Kranjcar in and we'd still have change left over from the Young and Downing sales to maybe pick up a full back as well without making a net spend.

Liverpool intend to fit Downing, Adam, Gerrard and Henderson into a midfield. They're gonna get absolutely ran riot over.

Well that is Adam off the list for a season. This time next season we can pick him up for 3 or 4. Can't see how he will fit at Liverpool.

If I were a liverpool fan, I would be very concerned about signing Adam as he has more cons than pros but hey i'm not so they can have him! muhahahaha!

I definately like the sound of Given, Parker, Nzogbia and Kranjcar in a villa shirt. Lets hope it happens but I have a feeling it wont

R5 reporting that Liverpool second bid for Downing was £15m + Ngog (who earns £40k per week!) - the first bid being £12m at the end of last season...and that...

The club's response was that the offer has been rejected out of hand, that the player is not for sale at any price and hasn't requested a transfer or suggested that he wants out!

Adam is overrated IMO and we have just as good already in Makoun and Bannan.

In relation to our response, I wonder how many on here will take that as a sign we're not on a sell to buy policy and that Randy still has ambitions for us?

Agreed! And we still have Delph, who if injury free, could be a great player for us for years to come. Add Gardner now and again for some Prem experience and he'll soon blossom too!

£50m of it was Torres, they've used all that on Carroll and Henderson but their owners know that to keep progressing they need to invest another 25-30m.
And they will if they sign Downing on top of Adam.

Then we'll be choking on their vapour trail.
