I cannot believe Faulkner has been allowed to have a holiday at such a crucial time ? This period completely shapes our whole season. This is like santa having December off .........

apparently it's his honeymoon. It's not the end of the world and my guess is his phone is secretly on.

Do you think his wife knows his phone is "secretly on?" bloody hell thats the first time in days i have been slightly excited on this thread .........

if he comes back with bruises then she found out! If he's back next week in line with the players reporting and the transfer window opening officially then I'm sure it will fine and we'll get our deals done.

Thanks Toronto. I feel strangely reassured now ......

Even Sidwell was more visable then Faulkner.

Not sure if anyones mentioned but Daily Mirror and Vital Wigan reporting we have made a £9m bid for King Charles Insomnia. 12 months left on his contract, refusing to sign another one and chairman has confirmed he will be sold this summer. What a snip!

Also read that apparently the reason Liverpool didnt go for Conor Wickham is they have to get of some of there high earning, bit part players of their wage bill. Maxi Rodriguez for the right wing anyone?

£9m seems a bit steep for someone in final year of his deal would like to see N'Zogbia at VP but not at that price

Not sure on Maxi Rodriguez he's a bit hot and cold form wise

Sorry mate, but that's the crazy inflated Premier League for you. Carroll: £35M, Henderson: £20M, Jones: £16M. So, £9M these days is almost a bargain. You can thank Man City and Chelsea for this situation.

We just sold Young to Man Utd for £17m-£20m with one year left on his contract so I suppose £9m for N'Zogbia isnt a bad deal by that standard. It is crazy money though.

Can't think of too many better ready-made replacements for young though so pay up and be done with it.

We got £17mil for Ash with a year to go, I see N'Zogbia as a comparable player so to pay only half that would be a snip indeed.

£9million for Insomnia is not that bad really in this market. He's a good player after all.

Despite question marks over his attitude I think he will be a decent enough player for us should he sign.

Yep.

There's no way Ash is twice the player Nzogbia is/will be.

I think Nzogbia would be a very exciting signing, I just have a feeling that he will either be a massive success or a major flop.

Didn't Mazi Rodriguez score four goals in a game against Blues last season?
