If  W*nker Downing does go Lpool we do not want any PX just straight cash of £20M in Sterling and paid upfront

Cole and Evans would be dreadful signings IMO.

Kendrick on twitter reckons the only new money will be for a keeper. We'll have t generate the rest.  Not sure if that's after or before the young money.

Would have thought the priorities with the young cash - if we can spend it - would be a ball winner in midfield and a left back. Perhaps no real replacement for young at all other than albrighton?

If that is the case, not sure you can blame randy. Spent a fortune and he's never gonna get it back. But it's a lot of pressure on the kids. Too much in my view.

If Warnock doesn't work out (again!), what about Ryan Bertrand? I would compare him to a left sided Kyle Walker, but probably better defensively and less direct in attack. He would be in and around the Chelsea team by now if it wasn't for being behind Cashley Cole. There was a rumour he was available for 5 million. I think he would fit in very well at our club. Young, English and driven.

I think you can see now why we couldn't attract a top manager and why we've finished up with AM, the AY money was spent in advance to get Bent and the only new money will come from who we get rid of. It is all very depressing.

Just read that bent was reportedly bought with the anticipated young cash- so where did the Milner fee go? Gardner will be a good signing for sunderland who are doing a lot of early business- I expect downing will get his wish to leave now he's reported to be handing in a transfer request- far more ungrateful than barry, young and Milner put together- shame on you stu!

haha brilliant! To be honest i never read into the how much money we have to spend it just puts up the price if we announce we have loads, better to keep quiet and just get on with it as im sure we will do as we seem to have done previously
